Surely by now most Americans realize we have a new war going on. Well, it's actually a revival of our opening moves in the War Against Terror. That's right folks, the boyos from Talibanstan are back and badder than ever. Probably smell and look worse, too. Depending on who you want to get your info from or believe, the grungies are either on the verge of seeking a bailout or a carte-blanche weapons deal even they're not dumb enough to turn down on the basis that the freebies they're absconding come from infidels. (Unless Sheikh Omar has his Mountaineers for Mohammed using ancient Afghan muskets, these guys have no qualms with helping themselves to a nice fat booty of free small weapons, all paid for by American taxpayers.)
The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) would have us believe the Talis are ready for the bailout while finagling sophisticated anti-aircraft weaponry; while in the meantime, the Washington Post is telling us how much the boys from the 'Stan have made off with and plan to use against our soldiers. And are they eager to do so. They've done a knock-out job of demonstrating that earlier this week as a way of "welcoming" Super Ambassador Richard Holbrooke who visited Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Kabul.
I used to be very hawkish, then over time I mellowed quite a bit. But on one thing I haven't changed. When you go to war, you don't go like the French did against Germany during the "Sitzkrieg" or "phony war." You tighten your arsenal security, you start listing and actually hitting worthy targets to bomb the hell out of, make the enemy feel more than financially inconvenienced, and you wage war to win it so decisively that even the most die-hard Jihadis will get the message and never again consider taking us on again.
As General Patton was said to have told a British general during the early confused hours of the Battle of the Bulge, "I don't believe in paying for the same real estate twice."
Too bad president swagger didn't learn any of these simple lessons when it all began back in '01.

All Obama's Forces n' Horses Can't Keep A Great Movement Down
Take a look at this article. If Obama's fawning acolytes and enabling appeasers think this issue will fade away as soon as his signature on the Freedom Of Choice Act (FOCA) has dried, they'd better think again. Obama won't have enough federal marshalls to enforce his diktats -- from MSNBC:

Welcome to Steven's Slate!
Welcome
For any of you who might’ve seen Steven’s Slate before, you notice’ll that a considerable change has taken place here.
The sub-title pretty much says it all: This is no longer a general political/religious blog -- it’s about the most important issue in life, save for a person’s Salvation -- it’s about the protection of life itself.
It doesn’t get any simpler than that.
